Plain cooked beans (plain cooked) can be tolerated by some dogs in small amounts, but legumes commonly cause gas and should not displace balanced food. Canned beans and chili beans are often salty or seasoned.

- Avoid canned, salted, sauced, spicy, onion, or garlic versions
