Can cats eat Pomegranate?

Best limited

Keep it rare and very small.

Pomegranate is best avoided for cats except for a tiny confirmed-safe taste, because it is not nutritionally useful and can upset digestion. Seeds and peel commonly cause digestive upset and are not recommended.

Before you feed it

  • Avoid routine feeding
  • Very small amounts only if offered
  • Stop feeding if vomiting, diarrhea, or discomfort occurs

How much is safe

Avoid; at most a tiny plain piece
