Can dogs eat Tuna (Cooked)?

Generally safe

Fine to share in sensible amounts.

Plain cooked tuna can be an occasional fish treat, but it should not be a staple because of mercury and sodium concerns.

Before you feed it

  • Serve cooked and plain
  • Use water-packed tuna with no added salt if canned
  • Avoid frequent feeding because of mercury exposure

How much is safe

Small plain amount occasionally
