Can dogs eat Cabbage?

Feed with caution

Small amounts only, and not right for every pet.

Cabbage is not a preferred treat for dogs because it can be gassy, irritating, hard to digest, or commonly served with unsafe ingredients. Gas and bloating are common.

Before you feed it

  • Small plain portions only if offered
  • Gas, vomiting, or diarrhea are possible
  • Avoid pickled, salted, fried, dressed, or seasoned versions

How much is safe

A tiny plain portion occasionally
