Can cats eat Pineapple?

Feed with caution

Small amounts only, and not right for every pet.

Plain pineapple is not a useful routine cat food, but tiny amounts of the safe flesh are not expected to be a major hazard for most cats. Remove rind and tough core; avoid canned pineapple in syrup.

Before you feed it

  • Tiny amounts only if offered
  • Cats do not need fruit in the regular diet
  • Avoid dried, sweetened, canned-in-syrup, or mixed fruit products

How much is safe

A tiny plain piece occasionally
