1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using NutriPet, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

2. Service Description

NutriPet is a pet food safety and nutrition management application that provides:

• Ingredient analysis and safety ratings for pet food products
• Food Journal for tracking meals and portions (Pro feature)
• Smart Feeding Calculator for personalized calorie recommendations
• Reaction and symptom logging for food tolerance tracking (Pro feature)
• Daily calorie tracking and feeding progress monitoring

3. NOT Veterinary Advice

You acknowledge and agree that:

• Calorie calculations are ESTIMATES based on standard veterinary formulas and may not be accurate for all pets
• Feeding recommendations should be verified with your veterinarian, especially for pets with health conditions
• Body condition assessments are USER-DETERMINED and not clinically validated
• Symptom and reaction logging is for PERSONAL RECORDS only, not diagnosis
• The app cannot detect allergies, intolerances, or health conditions
• Always consult a qualified veterinarian for dietary decisions, health concerns, or if your pet shows adverse reactions

4. User Accounts

• You must be 13+ (16+ in EEA) to create an account
• You are responsible for maintaining account security
• One account per person
• Accurate information required

6. Food Journal & Smart Feeding Terms

By using the Food Journal and Smart Feeding features, you agree that:

• You are responsible for the accuracy of data you enter (portions, calories, reactions)
• Calorie estimates use industry-standard formulas but may not suit every pet
• Reaction/symptom logging is for personal reference and should be discussed with your vet
• We are not liable for health outcomes based on the app's recommendations
• Custom calorie values you enter override system calculations
• Journal entries may be automatically archived after reaching storage limits

7. Payments & Refunds

• All payments processed through Apple App Store or Google Play
• Auto-renewal unless cancelled 24 hours before renewal date
• Refunds handled per Apple/Google policies
• No refunds for partial subscription periods

8. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

• Use the app for illegal purposes
• Attempt to hack or exploit the service
• Share account credentials
• Abuse rate limits or circumvent restrictions
• Harass other users or our staff
• Upload malicious content
• Use automated tools to access the service

9. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality are owned by NutriPet and protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws.

10. Disclaimers

• Service provided "AS IS" without warranties
• We do not guarantee 100% accuracy of ingredient analysis or calorie calculations
• Feeding recommendations are estimates and may need veterinary adjustment
• Not responsible for decisions made based on app information
• Pet health decisions are owner's responsibility
• Symptom patterns shown are based on YOUR logged data, not clinical analysis

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, NutriPet shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill.

We are specifically NOT liable for: pet health outcomes based on feeding recommendations, adverse reactions to foods, weight management results, or any veterinary expenses.

12. Termination

• You may delete your account anytime
• We may terminate accounts for Terms violations
• Upon termination, your data (including Food Journal) is deleted within 30 days

13. Apple/Google Store Terms

Use of NutriPet is also subject to Apple App Store or Google Play Store terms as applicable.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Northern Ireland, UK. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Northern Ireland.

15. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be notified in-app. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
